They Will Buy When They Know you Care

I first met her some time in 2019 when we organized a free training on digital marketing. She attended the training and showed much interest in signing up for our paid training; in fact she qualified for what we call “hot prospect” in sales but after series of follow up, she did not take any action. She remained on our list and received periodic valuable updates including resources and subtle ads but she never took action until this year.

I had just watched a video on social media by the legendary Ibukun Awosika talking about checking on people and the value available within the circle you already have access to but seldom leveraged on by many; the title of the video is “how are you”. After watching, I went straight to one of our list and sent this message “Hello, Windave Nation 👋, If you are reading this and you are in this group, I just want to know how you are doing & to let you know that we care

What will you have us help you with today. You can DM the admin and we can search for the solution amongst ourselves, you never can tell; your wish may just be granted without stress or any strings attached. Have a beautiful day”and boom, she messaged me and wanted us to help her with her business online and after a very smooth negotiation, the deal was sealed. This wasn’t a mega deal but it was a deal nonetheless and it happened after 5 years and the message here is that:

  1. That deal can still pull through irrespective of the time that have elapsed. Some prospects may still be researching, considering or simple not ready yet.
  2. Keep sharing value every day and keep in touch with your prospects, some of them are still interested though, they are yet to buy.
  3. Demonstrate that you really care and always be ready to “help before selling”
  4. Think long term especially if you want your business to succeed online.
  5. If your product is valuable and you communicate that value consistently, especially to those who need that particular value, sales is inevitable.
