It’s more of a technical meaning; binary and codes, etc.

 Now what are digital products?  These are Phones, Laptops, Television, Printers, etc.  This products help keep the world connected and informed.

Social Media;

This is a term for sites or apps used for communication and sharing of content for entertainment, education, and engaging with friends or families. 

This is simply, an internet-based form of communication and networking.

Currently, social media has gained popularity for business visibility and growth.  This is because of the rise of social media users during and after the lockdown period in business marketing.

Examples include; Instagram, X (formerly twitter), TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Bereal, WeChat, etc.

Marketing;

This is an action a person uses to promote and sell something, either a product or service.

We as humans are natural marketers.

We sell with our words most times, Appearance, materials, etc.

For example, you read a book, and you found it interesting. You want a friend to read it as well, and then you start explaining what you learned and how it will benefit the friend. That’s marketing!

Digital Marketing is proven to be the biggest move for any business, company, or brand’s success.

Knowledge gained from the above context, you should have an idea of what social media marketing should look like.

Well, social media marketing is using social media apps meant for communication or entertainment to market your product or service. It’s a sub-strategy under the Digital Marketing niche.

I.e. Using Instagram for an example to tell about your fashion brand, X to write stories about your brand, Snapchat or LinkedIn to show a video on how you operate in your company, etc.

That’s simply what it means.

Of course, that doesn’t mean going over the main purpose of communicating and entertaining its users.

 Social media has been the easiest form of marketing recently, because of its number of users and engagement.

It’s one of the best digital marketing approaches to business awareness.

Lead generation is the easiest via social media.

Social media marketing also helps a brand see what its competitors are up to and what its customers are saying.

More so, it connects a business and its customers. Because most of its content are visual that helps an ideal customer see what they are buying or requesting for.
